Air Conditioner Installation Location

Some factors to consider when deciding on where to install your outside Central Air Conditioner Condensor are:

When you look at the different brands and models, you will notice the variety of shapes and sized condensers can come in. A low profile unit may be more eye pleasing as it could be placed among your plants for a more natural look. A high profile unit will take up more space vertically, but is is more visual.

With all the new technology and more advanced compressors, condenser units are becoming quieter by the year. You may however, want to ensure you do not place a unit right by a bedroom window. If your choices are limited, you should consider a unit with a scroll compressor or even a compressor blanket to reduce noise level.

Some units offer a wider colour variety than others. This is really a personal preference. All units are coated with strong weather and rust resistant paints and will have no effect on the performance level. You might want to match up a specific colour with a brick wall instead of your white wall, for better blending effects!

Does the unit you are deciding on have louvered panels? You want to ensure that if you have children playing in the yard, they will not be able to stick their fingers where a top speed fan is running! If so, maybe you should consider mounting your unit on brackets, out of their immediate reach.

Dogs and children love to run around. Make sure any wire from your unit is safely layed, so as not to be a tripping hazard for your children or easily disabled by curious animals.
